Decree of establishment of the UOGCC
The orthodox Catholic Bishops’ Synod of the UGCC declares before God and before the faithful of Ukraine on 11th August 2009 the orthodox structure of the Church under the name of the Ukrainian orthodox Greek-Catholic Church – abbreviated to UOGCC. This structure includes all priests, religious and believers who are faithful to the Catholic faith and until this time had no other choice but to stay under the rule of apostates. The apostates unlawfully hold power in the UGCC in spite of being excluded from the Church. Therefore, the orthodox Catholic Bishops’ Synod of the UGCC was forced to establish a new Church structure for the orthodox faithful of the UGCC.
UOGCC accepts the primacy of the Roman Pontiff, is founded on the Apostolic and Eastern Catholic Tradition and, above all, dissociates itself from the contemporary heresies which destroy both the Eastern and the Western Church.
