                              EU Resolution against the family

On 13 March 2012, the European Parliament adopted a resolution on gender equality (2244 INI) which, among other things, gives a new definition of the family. Article 7 accuses the EU member states which protect traditional family (man, woman and children) of discrimination against homosexuals. The resolution requires the same rights – and even privileges – for immoral homosexual cohabitation. It is not the first time that the European Parliament promotes policies that contradict the general concept of humanity and family. However, what is dangerous is that it does so more and more radically. (1994 – registered partnership, 2002 – “marriage” for homosexuals...).

The resolution has a clear ideological intent to identify a person differently from who he really is.

The resolution contradicts a recent ruling by the Strasbourg court which says that gay marriage does not pertain to human rights. Thus the Strasbourg court confirmed the precedent of 2010, when it ruled that Austria does not interfere with human rights when it refuses to register same-sex marriages. Similarly, the ruling notes that the state is not obliged to provide gay couples with the same rights as a normal family.

The Byzantine Catholic Patriarchate categorically protests against the resolution with a confusing term “gender equality” in its title.

The natural family consists only of a man, woman and children. If homosexuals live together, it is not a family, but immoral cohabitation. Those MEPs who put this perverted cohabitation on an equal footing with the natural family should be removed from their responsible positions. Such people have no sense of reality, wherefore they cannot hold the responsible posts which they abuse to destructively affect the present and future of Europe.
