Letter to the Prime Minister of Ukraine

Dear Mrs Tymoshenko,

today, on 4th February 2010, it is already the fourth time (in Kiev) that we hold a prayer demonstration against religious discrimination and demand lawful registration of the Ukrainian orthodox Greek-Catholic Church (UOGCC). Since 13th August 2009 we have demonstrated daily in front of the Regional Council in Lvov and we will continue until the UOGCC is registered in accordance with the laws of Ukraine.

The reason for the present division of the UGCC is purely spiritual: heresies of ex-Card. L. Husar. The Christian faith is founded on several principal truths. These are: salvation is only in Jesus Christ and not in pagan religions; Jesus Christ is true God; He rose from the dead really and historically. Ex-Card. Husar has eroded these foundations of Christianity. He also denies the eternity of hell, permits homosexual activity, he himself divines by pendulum... For that reason the honest Greek-Catholic believers cannot be in unity of faith with him and or with his adherents. If ex-Card. Husar does not want to renounce heresies, continues in the post of Head of the UGCC and abuses his authority towards liquidation of the orthodox Catholics, these true believers then have no other choice but registration of a new Church structure. Ex-Card. Husar shelters himself behind external unity with the Holy Father; however, in fact he consciously denies the primacy and infallibility of the Pope. Administrative unity with the Pope serves him just as a vindication of his own authority.

Dear Mrs Tymoshenko, state registration of the UOGCC does not contradict the laws of Ukraine in any way. On the contrary, the Ukrainian legislation in force is favourable to registration. A testimony to it is also the resolution of 19th January 2010 of the Lvov Regional Administrative Court, which states that the State Committee of Ukraine on Matters of Nationalities and Religions acted against the law in relation to us!

In Ukraine Church is separate from state. Therefore the state does not intrude on the internal affairs of the Church and the laws of Ukraine do not allow one Church to be preferred to another! (see Art. 3,4,5 of the law of Ukraine “On Freedom of Worship and Religious Organizations”)

However:

By his (political and material) influence ex-Card. Husar made the State Committee of Ukraine on Matters of Nationalities and Religions act unjustly and unlawfully, so now this Committee refuses whatever involvement in our petition for registration of the UOGCC! The State Committee accuses us of nonexistent trespasses, blackens us and claims that the word “Catholic” can be used only with the approval of the Pope. However, this contradicts the Ukrainian laws as well as the general facts, because in many countries there are Churches (Church organizations) which bear the name “Catholic” though they are not administratively subordinated to the Vatican! (e.g. the Old Catholic Church)

Dear Mrs Tymoshenko, the major reason why You are lenient towards injustice on the part of the State Committee of Ukraine on Matters of Nationalities and Religions is the fact that ex-Card. Husar promises You support in the presidential elections! It is generally known that almost all Greek-Catholic priests oblige people by order of ex-Card. Husar to go to the polls and vote for You, saying that who will not, it will be a sin! This is violation of freedom of conscience and of democracy, which puts You in a very negative light. Ex-Card. Husar cares nothing about You or the good of Ukraine. He will always side with those who have power and money at the given period of time! He serves a system which aims at liquidation of true Christianity, at spiritual as well as moral decay of the state and at establishment of one world rule and one world religion without Christ! What will be the end of these efforts You know well Yourself (it is described in the Revelation, the last book of the Holy Scripture).

Dear Mrs Tymoshenko, You want to become President of Ukraine. The One who gives kingdoms and power to people is God, the true God. Not the god of this world, nor diviners or extrasensory individuals who serve demons. The true God (the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit) lifts up whom He wants and whom He wants He puts down. It is painful for us that You have chosen help of a god (demon) of Buddhists and that You have practically renounced Christianity and Jesus Christ when You started to believe in Buddhist myths, such as the year of a tiger etc. If You want to become President, You have to return to the true God Jesus Christ. Otherwise God will not give You His blessing. Unity with the heretic ex-Card. Husar will, according to the Scripture, bring You no blessing but only a curse (Gal 1:8-9).

Dear Mrs Tymoshenko, open up to God’s blessing, permit the registration of the UOGCC and cease the injustice committed by the State Committee of Ukraine on Matters of Nationalities and Religions and by ex-Card. Husar.
