                Canonical assumption of the administration of eparchies

                                   by orthodox Catholic bishops

Your Holiness,

in the current state of emergency the whole Synod of the UGCC along with its Head Card. L. Husar has fallen into apostasy. That was why there was a new orthodox Catholic Synod appointed in Ukraine, which elected new Head of the UGCC and appointed new true-Catholic bishops for the eparchies. This was already announced to You in the letter of 3rd August 2008. Now we announce to You that the charge of the eparchies has already been canonically assumed by the following new bishops:

Diocese of Lvov and Zhovkva taken over by Bishop Markian V. Hitiuk OSBM.

Diocese of Ivano-Frankivsk and Kolomiya taken over by Bishop Eliáš A. Dohnal OSBM.

Diocese of Drohobych taken over by Bishop Metod?j R. Špi?ík OSBM.

Diocese of Buchach taken over by Bishop Timotej P. Sojka OSBM-III.

Diocese of Ternopol taken over by Bishop Samuel R. Oberhauser OSBM-III.

Diocese of Uzhgorod taken over by Bishop Basil P. Kolodi OSBM-III.

This canonical assumption took place in the presence of believers and witnesses on the territory of each eparchy.

Unfortunately it could not be held in the eparchial church, so the Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the pilgrimage centres or in other churches of the particular eparchy.

Your Holiness, we hereby publicly confess again our sonly devotion and subordination to You and at the same time we ask You – if You wished to change the decision of the Synod, please, grant us a personal audience with You. From our personal experience we have to admit a painful reality that we cannot trust many of Your officials, because they do quite the opposite of what You want and what You promote!
