In the present time it is being decided whether Ukraine and Russia will open themselves to the essence of Christianity which will bring a spiritual renewal,
or whether they will open themselves to decadent streams which destroy spiritual and moral values of the individual and society. Unless Christianity in Ukraine opens itself through repentance to the Spirit of Christ, it will turn into a merely marginal minority in a new antichristian society. Only renewed Christianity may renew both the individual and the whole nation. Such Christianity will then give a clear meaning and goal to human life and will likewise give the power and the means of obtaining true happiness and salvation.
