On Monday 15th September 2008 Bishop Markian Hitiuk OSBM was visited by the police. Reason: The monastery superior Kornylij Yaremak OSBM had lodged a complaint that without his permission Bishop Markian celebrated the Divine Liturgy in a chapel which the Basilian fathers were in charge of. For this scandal and offence – calling the police on a Basilian monk for celebration of the Liturgy!!! – the responsibility also falls on the Provincial Superior J. Chverenchuk OSBM.
