Many thanks for sending your open letter, “An SOS for Europe”, to Nigel Farage, pointing out the evil path being taken by the governments, who were signatory to the Treaty of Rome, and who are now seeking to create a monstrous empire, by means of the Lisbon Treaty!

The deputies, to the EU's toothless consultative assembly, had no say over the composition of this treaty, nor over that of its predecessor, the “Constitutional Treaty”, and they have no say in whether Ireland holds a second referendum on the Lisbon Treaty or not, eager though most of them are to see the Lisbon Treaty adopted.

The EU is ruled by the Commission, Council and Court.  The deputies are merely a cosmetic device, designed to give an appearance of democracy. Nevertheless, Mr Farage, the UK Independence Party (UKIP) – and the EU-assembly's Independence and Democracy Group, to which UKIP belongs – will do all they can to defeat the second Irish referendum, by encouraging the people of Ireland to vote “no!”
