Unlawful actions on the part of the Basilian fathers

To the General Superior
and General Council OSBM
Rome
Glory to Jesus Christ!
On 16th August 2004 A.D., we turned to You in writing, with a complaint on Fr. Hryhorij Hrynkiv, OSBM, the Provincial Superior. Now there are people from Lviv, Drohoby?, Ivano-Frankivsk, ?ovkva turning to us, that the discord among believers through Basilian fathers continues. Even in OSBM churches we are publicly blackened as a sect and heretics. We remind that any kind of accusation has to be proved by court in order to spread it publicly.
These blackenings were passed by Fr. Hryhorij Hrynkiv, OSBM, to state authorities (Religious Department and Security Service of Ukraine – former KGB) with an aim to deport us from Ukraine.
Since we have been blackened even in front of the Church hierarchy with an aim to prevent the bishops from accepting us under their jurisdiction, we ask You to give a reprimand to Fr. Hryhorij Hrynkiv, the Provincial Superior, and to Basilian fathers in Ukraine, asking them to stop inciting believers and sharpening the situation further.
These lawless activities have undermined our mutual relations so much that we cannot stay in the Basilian Order as such. Five of us have perpetual vows in the Order of Papal Law and we all want to stay monks even further.
We ask You, therefore, to let us transit in peace to a monastery “sui iuris“ subordinate to the jurisdiction of a bishop.
