The situation that arose in regard to the former Basilian community of the Pidhirci monastery is very serious (the point is the exclusion of 27 monks from the Order)! So that the visitation may bring a lavish fruit, beside the today’s meeting  (9th July 2005) I suggest one more meeting the following week.

In the today’s meeting I kindly ask to present me with questions which the Congregation for the Oriental Churches  wants to have replied by me. Simple questions I may answer today, and as to the more complex ones, I will bring a written reply the following week.

I also need to put some questions to the Congregation for the Oriental Churches in order to know their viewpoints, and therefore I ask Your Excellence to be a mediator between me and the Congregation.
