Glory to Jesus Christ!
Your Eminence,
On 9th July 2005 in Lviv (Ukraine) I was called up to a visitation by Bishop Hlib Lonchina delegated by the Congregation for the Oriental Churches, in a matter of my exclusion from the OSBM Order. I came to the visitation with my advocate Fr. Vasyl Koval, ICLic. I asked the Bishop-visitator that this visitation took place in the presence of my advocate but he categorically refused it. Then I asked that there was at least a protocol of our visitation written and that I was given a copy. Even this was refused to me by Bishop Hlib. When I said that the Canonical law allows so, Bishop Hlib responded that I had no right to claim anything.
After this I had grounds for refusing such “conditions of the visitation”, in such case when I am asking for a court treatment.
At the end I wrote a short protocol of our meeting which was subscribed both by me and Bishop Hlib. When also my advocate wanted to sign it, the Bishop-visitator physically prevented him from doing so, took the protocol away with him and later gave us just its copy. Therefore my advocate subscribed on this copy, adding a clarification.
To confirm that everything was as is written here, my advocate is putting down his signature here, too.
In Christ,
Fr. Markian Hitiuk, ThLic., OSBM
Fr. Vasyl Koval, ICLic.
