Dear brothers in the episcopal ministry,

the orthodox Catholic Bishops’ Synod of the UGCC expresses thanks to You, sixty-two American Bishops, for Your declaration wherein You prohibit the Catholic University from granting an honorary doctorate to the American President. This brave defence of the faith and God’s laws on Your part is an example and challenge to all other bishops of the Catholic Church. We believe that equally You will become an example in the efforts towards the internal revival of the Church which has been started by an appeal for confession of faith and renouncement of heresies by 14th September 2009 addressed to all bishops (see www.community.org.ua).

We have strong hopes that the Church will thus be purified from the spirit of a covert betrayal which has nowadays become rooted in many religious institutes (like e.g. Jesuits) as well as at many key posts in the Church.
