Card. Husar denies the eternity of hell, and that is a heresy. He claims: “Noone will go to hell for ever.”
If hell is not eternal, why then should one waste time and warn the sinners? Let us leave them alone... But hell really exists and everyone is in imminent danger of getting there, and that is why we cannot treat ourselves to rest. Let us follow the example of our Saviour – He saw that we were in danger of falling into the abyss, so He descended from heaven to save us from it. If we do believe in eternal condemnation, it would be madness if we let things slide.
Casting doubt upon eternal condemnation results in one’s rejection of repentance and salvation. The consequence is remaining in unbelief and impenitence, and this is the way to hell.
