Your Holiness, on 29th September – 3rd October 2009 the Secretary of the Congregation for the Oriental Churches (COCh), Msgr. Cyril Vasi?, visited Ukraine. Most of the time he spent in the town of Drohobych.
He did not have time to meet with us but he devoted all afternoon to a visit to a secular university. Under what circumstances did he react like this? The situation in the UGCC is critical.
Card. Husar overtly preaches heresies and the whole hierarchical structure is in unity with him. For that reason the orthodox Catholic Synod was established. However, even after its establishment there was no possibility for a dialogue within the UGCC. Our Synod therefore had to separate from the apostatical structure and establish a new structure for the UGCC faithful – under the title of UOGCC. This is no new Church but the orthodox Catholic Church which differs from the official one only in not accepting the heresies of Card. L. Husar, which lead the whole Church to apostasy.
