False spirituality
Post date: 2009-10-30Autor: Synod UO GCC
On the title page of the journal Kozatska Ukraina (“Cossack Ukraine”) there is a photograph of L. Husar and Prof. Anatoliy Shevchenko, Head of the Ukrainian Registered Cossacks (URC).
L. Husar in his address repeats the word “spirituality” several times.
The article on pg. 23 emphasizes: “The Cossacks were familiar with magic, telekinesis, levitation, telepathy, hypnosis, suggestion... The Cossacks – ‘characternics’ (transl. wizards) – date their origin from the ancient Ukrainian pagan magicians.” However, God’s Word forbids all these practices, for through them works false demonic spirituality which brings a curse upon the individual, family and nation. The article does not hold up as an example the Christian Cossacks who – for their faith in Christ – courageously went into fierce battles and proudly died impaled on the stake.
Words about spirituality in the mouth of L. Husar and Head of the URC mean antichristian, pagan spirituality connected with divination and magic.
