Dear Monsignor, God has put You in this responsible position, before these concrete problems which You are now to deal with. You were not entrusted with this power before, so You had no responsibility before God or before the Church in this respect. Apply for an audience with the Holy Father and ask him to grant You a special mandate to deal with the whole matter justly in the power of authority entrusted to You. Hundreds of thousands of immortal souls are at stake. Your step will have an impact not only on our small Eastern but also on the whole Western Church. May the Holy Spirit make a brave witness of You, who will defend God’s interests and help the Holy Father to start the process of the Church’s renewal.
