What was the greatest spiritual fruit and blessing that resulted from this jubilee? The Most Holy Mother of God, who is the conqueror of all heresies, obtained for the Church in Ukraine this spiritual operation: On 3rd August 2008 a new Bishops’ Synod of the UGCC was appointed and new Head of the UGCC was elected. The old synod fell under an anathema due to its spiritual unity with the heresies of Card. L. Husar. Without this most important step – appointment of the new Synod of the UGCC – the process of renewal in the UGCC and spiritual resurrection in Ukraine could not start!
