Some priests began to force the faithful in the sacrament of penance to renounce the Pidhirtsi fathers. Renouncement of the conversion in Pidhirtsi, where the believers found the living Christ, is in fact renouncement of Christ Himself. For this crime one abuses the sacrament of penance! Enticement in the sacrament of penance into the sin of impurity is punished with major excommunication. Enticement of the faithful in the sacrament of penance into apostasy from Christ, even into an oath, is a yet graver crime of an abuse of this sacrament. It is a sacrilege! The one who forces the believers into committing such a sin in the sacrament of penance (i.e. heretical bishops or priests) should be punished adequately!
