Discrimination against Christians in the EU
The Lisbon Treaty (LT) is generally presented in the media as a treaty which will make the EU activity more effective. One often purposefully exaggerates its inevitability for good economic growth as well as for the economic and political stability of member states. Homosexuality has a key position in the EU ideology, so that through it a change of thinking and morals may take place. Homosexuality morally corrupts the individual, family as well as nation. This is really possession, demonization of those who promote it, but then even of their victims. This is a crime of a system against humanity which, in a different form, was condemned in Nuremberg.
The LT is a system of legal norms divided into two binding treaties:
- Treaty on EU (TEU)
- Treaty on the Functioning of EU (TFEU)
These treaties also include the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights of 7th December 2000, adapted at Strasbourg on 12th December 2007. According to Article 6 of the TEU, the Charter has the same legal value as the Lisbon Treaty.
This legal system can completely change the political, cultural, moral, ethical and religious orientation of 27 EU member states. Because on the basis of the LT the individual states will transfer enough powers from their legal capacity for the EU to be able to take total ideological control over them. It is a new form of a totalitarian system which outwardly shelters itself behind lofty formulations (e.g. Art. 2, TEU). On the other hand, however, this legal system will mean restriction of religious freedom for those who will not profess the new “universal values” of the EU. The Articles 7 TEU and 19 TFEU, represent quite a strong legal apparatus for everybody who calls a sin a sin, an abomination an abomination, to be accused of discrimination. If a Christian takes a clear ethical attitude toward homosexuality on the basis of God’s law, he runs the risk that he will be accused of discrimination against people with different sexual orientation on the basis of Article 21 of the Charter and Articles 3, 7 TEU and Article 10 TFEU.
Though Article 14 of the Charter guarantees the right of parents to ensure the education and teaching of their children in conformity with their religious convictions, it actually deprives them of this right by applying Art. 21 and 54 of the Charter as well as Art. 7 TEU and Art. 19 TFEU, which prohibit assuming of a nonviolent, clear and determined attitude toward homosexuality and toward other unnatural forms of sexual orientation.
Article 24 of the Charter guarantees the rights of the child, i.e. such protection and care as is necessary for their well-being and their best interests! However, this right is completely degraded through Art. 21 of the Charter. An example is the manner in which the EU Parliament acted (Resolution of 17th September 2009) towards Lithuania which had adopted (14th July 2009) a draft law on the protection of minors against the detrimental effect of public information, including information agitating for homosexual, bisexual or polygamous relations. The EU nipped in the bud the law intended to protect the healthy moral, spiritual and human development of a child. The EU thus effectively eliminates from social life the Christian attitude toward sexuality and toward a sound development of the individual. All this is possible only because in keeping with a certain political or rather ideological conception embodied in a legal form, the UN and EU treat natural sexual orientation and unnatural orientations – homosexual, lesbian, bisexual, transsexual – as equal. For this reason the EU forces the member states by means of the articles of the Charter and LT to accept this ideological position which is at sharp variance with the Christian morals and natural ethics. What is the aim? By means of this homosexual politics the EU wants to demoralize the new generation and make it independent of biologically given sexuality. This “gender mainstreaming” ideology is the basis of the so-called antidiscriminatory EU laws (Art. 21 and 54 of the Charter, Art. 19 of the TFEU). Unfortunately, this ideology is becoming incorporated more and more powerfully into state structures, universities, schools and even kindergartens. The one who points out this fact is like a man who urges the Ministry of Health in a corrupt society to take measures against a new epidemic which has already brought death to several thousand people. He will get a reply: “Do not discriminate citizens just because they are not as healthy as you. For your discrimination we shall put you to prison.”
The EU has turned unnatural sexual orientation into an inalienable right of the human being (see Art. 21 of the Charter, Art. 10 of the TFEU). Whatever statement about the necessity to protect children and young people against the pernicious effect of homosexuality is treated by this Charter as discrimination. Who is really discriminated? Only normal people and Christians. Europe was formed by Christianity for 2000 years. The EU, which has been forming itself for only a few years, wants to change this fact and forcibly put through its discriminatory rules. From moral and religious aspect some points of the Charter of Fundamental Rights are, similarly to the LT, a dictate of the EU disposing to discrimination against Christians. Art. 10, TFEU: “In defining and implementing its policies and activities, the Union shall aim to combat discrimination based on sexual orientation.” In other words, the main line of the EU policy is to ensure a barrier-free dissemination of homosexuality in the EU – in culture, schools, public life, education of children and youth – disregarding human nature and moral values of Christianity. In this respect the EU’s attitudes are unambiguously antichristian and antimoral.
Some articles of the Charter and LT are to serve as legal means to implement the EU policy ideologically directed against Christian and moral values.
Though both the Charter and LT repeatedly emphasize religious freedom and protection of cultural heritage, they actually deny it by other norms.
Art. 21 states: “Any discrimination based on any ground such as religion or belief or sexual orientation shall be prohibited.”
It is as if we said: “Any discrimination against truth and lie, criminal and his victim, health and disease cannot be allowed.” We need to discern – to defend the truth and to combat lie, to protect the victim and to punish the criminal, to maintain health and to fight a disease. Therefore the Christian values which protect the family need to be supported. Immorality and criminality, on the other hand, which destroy both the individual and the family, must be restricted or prohibited by law. Laws propagating homosexuality destroy the morals, individual, family and society.
In case a Christian protests against dissemination of immoral information agitating for homosexuality in schools attended by his children or in the mass media accessible to his children, he shall be tried for discrimination.
If the Christian objected that he has the right to protect moral values and to educate his children without the negative influences of gay-oriented people, how would he end up? Most probably in the same way as the Lithuanian Parliament which is forced to change the draft law on the protection of minors against the detrimental effect of public information whereby homosexual, bisexual or polygamous relations are promoted which are contrary to the Christian culture and European cultural heritage.
The EU presents homosexuality as the European cultural heritage. But this is a colossal lie.
Who is acquainted at least a little with the basic principles of law and with the history of the last century knows that the LT bears in itself a legal system of a totalitarian society.
Outwardly, the EU declares – Christians live well with us, for we ensure religious freedom for them. They live “well” as long as they live in conformity with EU ideology, but if they live according to God’s law, they are persecuted by EU state apparatus and are liable to penalty.
Homosexuality runs counter to nature determined by biological and natural development. Homosexuals will never be able to form a family. Unfortunately, some EU countries have equalized in rights homosexual “union” and marriage. They are even allowed to adopt children.
Alarming statistics:
1) Between the years 2003 and 2004 72% of the newly infected with AIDS were men who practised homosexual or bisexual relations.
2) Men practising homosexual relations change on average 100 partners.
3) Neurosis, deep depressions, alcoholism and drug addiction occur much more in men practising homosexual relations.
4) Suicidal tendency is much stronger in those who live in homosexual unions.
5) The life span of people practising homosexual or bisexual relations is shorter by 8 to 20 years than the average age. (Taken from: Die Gender Revolution – Relativismus in Aktion, Gabriele Kuby, 2007, pg. 68-69)
