A proclamation for the deputies of Ukraine

The spiritual programme of the renewal of the Ukrainian nation (state)

Ukraine is a Christian state

This year our nation celebrated the jubilee of the baptism of Rus-Ukraine by Saint Vladimir. His son, Yaroslav the Wise, consecrated the nation to the Holy Virgin.

Since the times of St. Vladimir Ukraine has been a Christian nation. Only Jesus Christ gives the strength to resist the moral evil which is around us and, unfortunately, in us too.

The programme of renewal

The Constitution and laws of Ukraine must be founded on Christian principles and penetrated with them. Therefore it is necessary to set new laws for:

1)    education: To rebuild the school curriculum of the humanities and natural science in such way that it not contradict the Christian morals and the Christian principles.

2)    the mass media: A prohibition against the propagation of pornography (billboards, advertisements...), violence and occultism (magic). To prefer TV and radio broadcasts with a formative influence and to restrict those which corrupt both the individual and the society. To prevent the public from music which arouses violence, impurity, perversion.

3)    sects and religions: Sects are groups of people who do not confess Jesus Christ as true God. Besides, it is those groups of people who accepted a heretical teaching; the spirit that is behind this teaching works destructively upon the human mind.

To prohibit destructive sects and not prefer others and not put them on the same level with the Christian Churches. Preference should be given to traditional Christian Churches. These Churches should cooperate in the renewal of the spiritual and moral heritage of the Ukrainian nation. It would be ideal if Ukraine had a single local Christian Church!

4)    moral protection: To impose maximum restrictions on gaming machines which, as the final result, are of no benefit to the society but cause destruction of families and personality.

To impose restrictions and controls on the sale of alcohol and cigarettes.

     To fight narcotics and immorality.

To protect the defenceless youth by means of educational programmes against all current destructive influences.

Positive steps towards recovery of the society

1)    To increase the number of sports clubs and artistic groups for the youth.

2)    To work out a law for renewal of families, to support natality. To restrict divorces and abortions.

3)    To teach principles of natural and Christian morals in schools. To enable greater cooperation between schools and the Churches.

4)    Propagation of Christian values in the mass media (TV, films, journals).

5)    A call upon the Christian Churches to join in an effort to transform the Ukrainian nation into a Christian and moral one (a struggle against alcoholism, drug abuse, immorality, pornography, gaming machines, bribery).

6)    Support and preference given to Christian recovery centres for alcoholics, drug addicts etc.

It is necessary to realize that man inclines to evil by nature. Education is strengthening of man in sound principles, which entails certain restriction – sacrifice. Moral laws in Europe were built on God’s laws – on the Decalogue. The mass media and contemporary so-called postmodern culture destroy moral principles; they do not educate people but make them into slaves of bad habits and dependences through propagation of evil and egoism. Here one can no longer speak of love, which, in essence, is a sacrifice and denial of one’s self (of egoism).

Conclusion

No economy, no philosophy, no psychology, no sociology and no political science will change the individual or the society for the better. This can be done only through genuine conversion and through receiving of Christ and His teaching of truth and love. This will guarantee true happiness not only here on earth but also after death!

May Ukraine become a model of spiritual and moral revival for all Europe.
