To Polish Government

Dear representatives of the Polish nation,

our Bishops’ Synod of the UOGCC from Ukraine offers You our condolences in Your grief over the national tragedy. Through this painful event God now speaks to every man and to the whole nation.

We would like to remind that exactly in half a year, on Sunday 10th October 2010, the beatification of the Polish Pope John Paul II is planned. This Pope held the supreme post in the Catholic Church in the years 1978-2005. Unfortunately, those years witnessed the greatest number of paedophilic scandals in the Church. John Paul II bears full responsibility for them. During his pontificate, these crimes were purposefully concealed and left without punishment. Only now, after being disclosed by temporal justice, they were brought into the open before the whole world.

Benedict XVI is now being pushed by the mass media to responsibility for the crimes committed during the pontificate of John Paul II. At the same time, however, he is being pushed to beatify the deceased Pope as soon as possible. These pressures are exerted by the apostatical spirit which rules in the Church as well as by the chauvinistic spirit of the Polish hierarchs. They do not pursue the good of the Church but national pride. What does God want to say to the Church and to the Polish nation by this air tragedy?

John Paul II is responsible not only for pedophilic scandals but first of all for an official introduction of the spirit of apostasy into the Church. This spirit is destroying her essence. His gesture in Assisi caused the Church to officially open up to the spirit of paganism and apostasy (see www.community.org.ua – The spirit of Assisi). In the seventh century Pope Honorius I was posthumously excommunicated (expelled from the Church) only because he had not fought against heresies. John Paul II officially introduced heresies into the Church. The planned beatification is a mockery of the whole Church Tradition, of the apostles and all martyrs and of the whole Gospel. This air tragedy is a clear God’s call for repentance to the whole Polish nation. How is Poland to repent? The new Polish President should officially, on behalf of the whole Polish nation, appeal to the present Pope to cancel the absurd beatification of John Paul II. Through this penitent gesture of the new president a true God’s blessing will come upon the Polish nation and Church.
