Dear ex-Cardinal, we would like to respond to Your open letter of 7th April 2010, wherein You hypocritically defend Pope Benedict XVI. It concerns the issue of paedophilia and homosexuality in the Church. First we have to say that as the former State Secretary, You are to blame for concealment of the crimes much more than the former Prefect Card. J. Ratzinger is blamed. As State Secretary, You knew about all those crimes.
Instead of Your hypocritical defence of Pope Benedict XVI, admit Your guilt before the whole Church, that beside John Paul II it is You who is to blame most for the catastrophic current state of the Church.
We appeal to You in the name of God: Resign from Your office of the Dean of the College of Cardinals.
