Your Holiness, You now have to reap the bitter fruits of the 26-year pastoral work of John Paul II. During his pontificate a great number of paedophilic scandals were consciously concealed. The victims were not heard out, in some cases they were even intimidated; the culprits were not punished. Who was responsible for this policy of concealment of crimes and impunity of culprits? In the first place it was John Paul II. The responsibility also falls upon the closest co-workers of the Pope, i.e. upon ex-Card. Sodano and upon You as Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.
Realize before God and before the Church that as the Pope You have taken upon Yourself full responsibility for the catastrophic current state of the Church. You will be justified neither before God nor before all humanity unless You start a true reform now.
