Ex-Card. Ch. Schönborn

Dear ex-Card. Schönborn,

our Bishops’ Synod of the UOGCC from Ukraine has already responded to Your proposal of the Church’s “reform” which, in fact, would mean her deformation. It concerns Your vision of solving the problem of clerical paedophilia by abolishing the celibacy. This abolition will not solve the problem. The celibacy is not the cause of paedophilia.

Today the situation in the Church may only be solved by a true spiritual reform, which consists in a change of the spirit. The spirit of apostasy has seized power over the whole Church hierarchy. The fruit is the mass spread of paedophilia and homosexuality on the so-called Christian territory of Europe and America. HCT, false respect for paganism and homosexuality deny the essence of the Gospel and bring down God’s curse (cf. Gal 1:8-9) upon the whole Church hierarchy. We remind You of the fact that as from 15th September 2009, You also are under God’s anathema.

A week ago there was a piece of news published that You criticized ex-Card. Sodano for concealment of scandals connected with paedophilia. On the other hand, however, we have been shocked by Your statement that “the Church could also take account of homosexual partnerships”. Today, in a time of manipulation of word, inaccurate formulations and ambiguous interpretations, this attitude of Yours is very dangerous for the Church. Unfortunately, this ambiguity is seen even in the CCC, art. 2357-59, concerning homosexuality. As a co-author of the CCC, You are responsible for this ambiguous formulation which homosexuals are now appealing to to the detriment of the Church. As to Your recent statement, we repeat: in no case can the Church “take account of homosexual partnerships”. If these people live together, they provoke public outrage and disintegrate the Christian community. The so-called respect for them, which the Catechism (2358) calls for, causes infection in other weak Christians! An abomination is accepted by them at the cost of trampling God’s laws underfoot and driving the Spirit of Truth out of the Church. Your statement about taking account of homosexual partnerships in the Church is very dangerous and reveals an antichristian spirit. This statement supported with Church authority opens the door to total devastation and ruination of the Catholic Church! We hereby call You to repair the damage You caused to the Church both in Austria and all over the world!
