Dear Mr President,

our orthodox Catholic Bishops’ Synod of the UOGCC from Ukraine hereby congratulates You on Your election to the post of President of Poland. The circumstances of Your election are extraordinary. One day after the plane crash in Smolensk our Synod turned to the Polish government with a request that after the new President is elected, he should make an official petition to Pope Benedict XVI on behalf of the whole nation, asking for cancellation of the planned beatification of the deceased Polish Pope John Paul II. The disastrous floods just like the air tragedy are God’s signs and a call to repentance for all Poland.

The beatification of John Paul II is impossible due to the following reasons:

1)      During the pontificate of John Paul II the Catholic Church witnessed internal decay and mass apostasy. The Pope did not deal with these urgent problems.

2)      The Church witnessed mass spread of heresies through the so-called historical-critical theology (HCT). In essence, HCT denies Christ’s Divinity and His real and historical Resurrection as well as the divine inspiration of the Scripture. This is in fact a denial of the very essence not only of the Catholic Church but of whole Christianity. Pope John Paul II gave his tacit consent to this epidemic as well as to its integration into theological study. We have to remind that in the 7th century, several years after his death Pope Honorius I was excommunicated from the Church as a heretic for the reason that he had been silent on the spread of much less dangerous heresies.

3)      John Paul II abused the supreme Church authority and authoritatively let in the spirit of apostasy by practically embodying the dangerous statement of the Nostra aetate declaration on a so-called regard for other religions. This regard means not only that one reveres pagans who worship demons but also that one directly opens up to these demons. By his gesture in Assisi he introduced an antichristian thesis holding that the pagan system is an alternative way to salvation, whereby he practically destroyed even the essence of the Christian mission. This attitude runs counter to the whole Church Tradition as well as to the essence of the Gospel. The fruit of Assisi was that the Church opened up to Oriental relativism, which does not distinguish between good and evil. Consequently, this spirit opened the door even to the criminal antihuman ideology contained in the Lisbon Treaty.

We remind that on 17th November 2009 the Polish Church hierarchs were excommunicated from the Church and fell under God’s curse – anathema. They now hold their offices unlawfully and are a cause of the curse falling upon the Polish nation. Therefore in this historic moment God is putting the future of the Polish nation, and the responsibility connected with it, in Your hands.

What are You to do?

If You want to see a spiritual revival of Poland, it is necessary to make the following steps:

1)      Make a formal request with Pope Benedict XVI that he should appeal to all Polish cardinals and bishops to resign from office and at the same time that he should appoint new bishops whose programme will be an internal renewal of the Church as well as a renewal of the nation.

2)      Make a public request with Pope Benedict XVI that he should definitively cancel the absurd beatification of John Paul II.

These two steps of Yours will help deliver the Polish nation from the curse brought down upon it by the apostatical hierarchy. God will then grant not only to the Church but thanks to You to the whole nation that it will see a true revival of the individual, family and society. Poland can thus set a precedent to the whole Catholic Church and to all Europe in promoting positive universal and Christian values.
