                                            A call for repentance

                                                                (Pastoral letter of Pope Benedict XVI)

Dear political and religious leaders of the EU countries,

as the successor of the Apostle Peter I must respond to the resolution by the EU of 23rd November 2010. The European Parliament violently forced the 27 EU countries to adopt homosexual marriages whereby it practically destroyed all the individual states’ laws related to the family code. Thus the EP globally introduced homodictatorship, which is opposed by the vast majority of the European citizens. This crime against humanity causes moral, spiritual and material damage and leads to the genocide of entire nations. In its documents, the European Parliament cynically calls this international terrorism which destroys the family and humanity at its root “(an) intention to strengthen the family to deal with Europe’s coming demographic plunge”. Ideologists of the EU conceal the truth that homosexuality is closely linked with the spread of the fatal AIDS disease. Homosexuality also spreads various forms of hepatitis and other infectious diseases, leads to mental and moral disintegration of individuals and turns them into the mediums of unclean demons. Many victims end up in depressions and often commit suicide. This is what the EU ideologues call strengthening of the family to deal with Europe’s coming demographic plunge. By means of the formally established system of lie, this degradation of the truth leads to the moral, spiritual as well as to physical genocide of Europe.

At this critical time the primary responsibility for the defence of faith and morals falls on the office of St. Peter, which I perform. I am fully aware not only of the responsibility before God and all Christians, but also before all mankind. My duty is to preach the gospel and moral truths. Their reception brings blessing, and their rejection curse on entire nations. Therefore I cannot be silent! In this situation, my silence would mean consent to the massive crime against humanity, the consequence of which is hell on earth and hell after death. I am aware of the responsibility and authority that was given to me by God and the Church. Every bishop, every priest and every Christian is obliged to seek the true and saving faith and implement it through the moral principles given to us by the Creator himself. In the hour of our death all of us will render accounts before His Judgement seat. We will receive either eternal punishment or reward – eternal condemnation in hell or eternal life in glory.

God definitely forbids homosexuality:

Lev 18.22: “You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination.” 

Deterrent example for all mankind is the annihilation of the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah with fire from heaven (cf. Gen 18-19).

“He condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to destruction by reducing them to ashes, having made them an example to those who would live ungodly thereafter.” (2 Peter 2:6) By this punishment God warns against the eternal fire “... having given themselves over to sexual immorality, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.” (Jude 7)

1Cor 6:9: “...nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality ... will inherit the kingdom of God.”

God’s Word clearly points out the root of homosexuality: it is apostasy and idolatry.

Rom 1:25-27: “They exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator ... For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another.”

My predecessor Saint Pius V (16th century) said concerning the issue of homosexuality in the ranks of the clergy: “Such a clergyman must be suspended from all Church offices and subjected to the punishment in accordance with the state laws. This is the only way how to eradicate this abomination.” In the Middle Ages state laws punished homosexual acts in conformity with God’s Word by death: “If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.” (Lev 20:13) Those who are now promoting murders of unborn children – abortions; murders of non-productive and undesirable people – euthanasia; mass genocide of entire regions – so-called reduction of the population, are hypocritically offended at a just capital punishment which moreover is disciplinary for other potential criminals. Nevertheless, they are deliberately normalizing moral perversion which spreads like an epidemic and brings death (the spread of AIDS, hepatitis, suicides) – to the stubborn ones it brings eternal death.

Up to this day the death penalty for homosexual acts is practiced by Muslims. In Iran (2005) 17-and 18-year-old boy were publicly hanged for this perversion! In Europe homosexuality is forcefully promoted in all spheres of life, and whatever negative attitude is punished by fines, imprisonment or taking away one’s own children.

I emphasize again that according to the Scripture and Tradition homosexual activity is grave sin, abomination and slavery to unclean demons.

What is the way out? Metanoia (Mk 1:15) – the same as for everyone who wants to be saved. It is a change of thinking and change of a lifestyle. On the first place is no longer the ego, but Jesus. Only in Jesus Christ is eternal life, so it is necessary to follow Him through the daily denial of oneself and taking up one’s cross (Mat 16:24). Jesus then liberates such a disciple of His and gives him true peace.

I am hereby addressing all priests and monks and obliging them in conscience that they should implement and preach this God’s attitude towards homosexuality.

I am hereby addressing all Christians who became slaves of this impure dependence, that they should do acts of true repentance – metanoia.

I am hereby addressing all activists of homosexual perversion: Repent and stop your immoral activity! I announce to You in God’s authority: Unless You do so, You exclude Yourselves from the Mystical Body of Christ – the Church – by your obstinacy. If you die in this state, you will be eternally condemned.

I am addressing especially the representatives of the EU as well as the representatives of the national governments in Europe: I appeal to You in God’s authority: stand against the legalization of gay marriages, against gay adoption of children and against the promotion of homosexuality in education, culture and legislation. Christian, who stubbornly promotes legalization of homosexual epidemic, is ipso facto excluded from the Mystical Body of Christ. In case of death he will be eternally condemned owing to his obstinacy.

Hereby I bind the Catholic bishops of Europe in the conscience that they should abdicate their offices. You are responsible for apostasy from the saving faith. Homosexuality is just a consequence of this apostasy. Your abdication must give an opportunity to new bishops so that they might carry out a true interior and exterior reform of the Church. Reform of the Church cannot be effected so long as You maintain the spirit of the world and the spirit of apostasy and do not allow true repentance.

I emphasize: This is the time for repentance! He who will not obey will have responsibility for the temporal death and eternal damnation of many and for the annihilation of Christian Europe. The greatest catastrophe is not world disaster, but eternal damnation. God wants to save Europe and her inhabitants through true repentance.
