The so-called LGBT Christian Church

On 12th January 2011, the Ministry of Justice registered civic organization of LGBT Christians. On 20th February 2011, a temple was opened for this pseudo-Church in Donetsk. The photograph accompanying the relevant article shows a man with a Roman-Catholic stole in the colours of the rainbow and with an Orthodox cross around his neck. Both the Church and the religious community shelters itself with the patronage of the centurion Cornelius.

The true Church is a community of people who repent, call the truth the truth, a sin a sin and respect God’s laws. What dos the nonsense of the co-called LGBT Christian Church consist in? If somebody is a homosexual, he can be a member of the Christian Church; however, under concrete conditions: that he wants to save his soul, that he calls a sin a sin and that he is willing to fight against s in and not to normalize it. To commit sins is human, but to avoid repentance and to normalize sin is demonical. Jesus said clearly: “Unless you repent, you will all perish.” These words apply not only to homosexuals, but also for adulterers, thieves, cheats, criminals and the Church pharisees.

The LGBT community by no means can be called a Christian Church, perhaps only a Christian sect. The term LGBT Christians is the same nonsense as saying: “the healthiest people are carriers of AIDS.” AIDS is a fatal disease; it is the opposite of health and is spread by homosexuals.

Unfortunately, ex-head of the UGCC L. Husar is of the same mind as the so-called LGBT Christians. He publicly approves of homosexuality (see his book Discussions with Card. Husar: On Postconfessional Christianity).

It is an insult and a lie to call the centurion Cornelius or other saints homosexuals. He, like any other saint and Christian and unlike homosexuals called a sin a sin and kept God’s commandments. He did not mock at God’s laws, as LGBT do. Uninformed Christians are confused by religious phrases and lies in order that instead of repentance they follow a broad way of pride, impurity and impenitence leading to eternal damnation.

The UOGCC Bishops’ Synod hereby officially informs all the Christians of Ukraine: It is impossible for a community of active homosexuals to be called a Christian Church. It can be called a harlot of antichrist or a sect, but in no case has it anything to do with Christianity. This cannot be changed by the fact that LGBT ideologists manipulate the truths of God’s Word. Behind their interpretation, there is not the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, but the spirit of lie. Even the devil in the desert quoted the Scripture to Christ Himself. It is necessary to know the clear position of the Holy Scripture and of the Church tradition. God called homosexuality (LGBT) an abomination, i.e. the most perverted form of sin. Only the Triune God had and has the right to determine what sin is and what is not. The Holy God condemned homosexuality, calling it an abomination once and for all. Nobody in the world has the power to change God’s righteous laws.

“You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination.” (Lev 18:22)

“If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination...” (Lev 20:13)

“Do not be deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters... nor homosexuals will inherit the kingdom of God.” (1Cor 6:9-10)

The main cause of homosexuality, as the apostle Paul states, is apostasy from God and idolatry (see Rom 1:26-27).

The Bishops’ Synod of the UOGCC appeals to the LGBT members to call a sin a sin and to show genuine repentance, as it is done by those Christians who follow the way of truth and salvation. Jesus died on the cross even for gays and their sins. God loves them and gave up His only begotten Son to die for their sake. One has to receive this salvation through the saving faith. An example is the penitent criminal, who confessed his sins, believed in Jesus and was saved. Jesus liberated and liberates the souls from the power of unclean demons, including demons of homosexuality. However, even though these demons of pride and impurity come out of human souls, they leave human mind disturbed. The process of healing lasts for years. By Jesus’ wounds we are healed. This promise is for every repentant sinner, and therefore also for repentant homosexual. The greatest commandment is to love God with all our heart. The main concern is to save our soul – to obtain eternal life. Love for God and eternal life is tied with a condition of keeping God’s commandments. Jesus said: “Whoever keeps My commandments, he it is who loves Me.” To clarify the sixth and ninth commandment, Jesus says: “Everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” (Matt 5:28) and: “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” (Matt 5:8) “Unless you repent, you will all perish.” (Lk 13:3). This applies to all people without distinction, i.e. to homosexuals as well.
