Letter by the priest (Robert Jarabica)

                              of the Archdiocese of Trnava (Slovakia)

              to Mr Robert Bezak (ex bishop of the Catholic Church)

Dear Mr Robert Bezak!

        On May 1, 2011, Benedict XVI beatified John Paul II whereby he excommunicated himself, in accordance with Gal 1:8-9, from the Catholic Church for preaching a different gospel. “If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed.” As a priest I cannot accept in my heart and conscience that Pope of the Catholic Church approved by beatification the apostatical gesture in Assisi. Thus he put the saving faith in Jesus Christ on an equal footing with the false pagan religions. This is haeresis maxima. “Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? What agreement has the temple of God with idols?” (2Cor 6:14-16) Unfortunately, the entire hierarchy of the Catholic Church, including You, have identified themselves with this beatification and this apostical gesture, whereby You denied the fundamentals of the Catholic faith and Tradition, without which the Christian faith is not Christian.

Therefore I announce to You that as from 3rd May 2011, I leave the parish in Galanta (Slovakia). I do so because I want to keep undefiled the deposit of Catholic and Apostolic faith which the Church has preserved unchanged for 2000 years. Hereby I show obedience to Christ, to His holy teaching and apostolic tradition. I also ask You to discharge me from employment in the Archdiocese of Trnava.

As I want to continue to serve the Triune God as a Catholic priest, I retire to the monastery of Sts. Cyril and Methodius of the Society of St. Basil the Great in Jarok (Slovakia) which belongs to the Byzantine Catholic Patriarchate. Here, in humility, prayer and obedience to the Word of God, I want to attain salvation of my soul.
