Declaration of excommunication against Head of the UGCC

We have learned from the mass media that Head of the UGCC Msgr. Shevchuk is titled Patriarch. Who proclaimed him Patriarch? The Synod of the UGCC? No. The apostatical Roman dicastery? No. What authority does he have if he was proclaimed by himself and is in unity with apostasy?

Unlike the unreal Shevchuk’s Patriarchate, on 5 April 2011 the Synod of the UOGCC proclaimed a real Byzantine Catholic Patriarchate (BCP) and elected Bishop Elijah Patriarch. The reason for proclamation of the BCP is the disastrous state of the Catholic Church and the need for her defence and restoration.

What is the authority of the BCP?

The Byzantine Catholic Patriarchate has divine authority. In this time of crisis and worldwide apostasy, it defends God’s laws and the saving faith without which no one can be saved. This saving faith is tied up with the preaching of a sound doctrine and with the opening of one’s heart to the Holy Spirit in fullness. By contrast, Msgr. Shevchuk upholds Husar’s heresies as well as heresies of the apostatical Western hierarchy. Moreover, by his attendance at the beatification of John Paul II he publicly accepted the spirit of Assisi – the spirit of antichrist. Msgr. Shevchuk had been warned by the Byzantine Catholic Patriarchate. Attendance at beatification of an apostate Pope was a gesture of his unity with the spirit of apostasy, the spirit of antichrist.

Both Catholic and Orthodox Patriarchs responded to our warning and did not attend this apostatical event in Rome. On 6 May 2011, Msgr. Shevchuk was appealed to renounce the spirit of Assisi by 13 May 2011. He did not do so and thus manifested his inward obstinacy and unity with the apostatical spirit which casts out the Spirit of God from the souls of believers and from the Church.

The Byzantine Catholic Patriarchate hereby makes it public that Msgr. Shevchuk excluded himself from the Catholic Church and as from now, he officiates the Liturgy and administers the sacraments invalidly. Moreover, no priest or believer can obey him; otherwise they partake of his curse.

From the moment of his apostatical gesture and subsequent boycott of saving repentance Msgr. Shevchuk, as Head of the UGCC, passes on the fatal infection of the spirit of Assisi – the spirit of antichrist – to the believers of the UGCC. The priests must no longer mention his name in the Liturgy. If they mention the name of this apostate, they unite with the spirit of Assisi – the spirit of antichrist- and, similarly, officiate the Liturgy invalidly. The believers of the UGCC who will remain in inner unity with him and not dissociate themselves from him and his apostasy follow him on the way to eternal damnation.
