Second appeal to the Russian nation

Dear Christians and people of good will in Russia,

we live in a time of a global spiritual revolution. The well-established moral and spiritual principles that make the man, call good good and evil evil are being changed. It is systematic demoralization and even demonization of youth and all population, which leads to gradual moral, spiritual and physical genocide. Nearly 100 years ago, there was a prophetic word given in Fatima through the Mother of God concerning Russia: “If My requests are heeded, Russia will be converted and there will be peace.” (13th June 1917) In the Gospel, Jesus invites all individuals and entire nations: “Repent (change your thinking) and believe in the Gospel.” (Mk 1:15) Greek word metanoia means a change of thinking, which is the essence of repentance. “Unless you repent, you will all perish.” (Lk 13:1) Repentance has its basis in the change of thinking and is completed by adoption of a healthy lifestyle. Today, thinking is based on lie and egoism. There is a consumer lifestyle based on deceptive pleasure which leads to the loss of health, mental disturbances and shortens one’s life.

Russia should do penance to be saved from auto-genocide and to become a model of a healthy revival for the whole world. Will the Russian nation decide for life at this crossroads, or will she take the path of her own genocide?

What are the particular sins of this generation and of all past generations that Russia is to repent of?

1) Abortion is no innocent surgical intervention; it is the killing of one’s own child.

2) Alcoholism, drugs and adultery are sins. Sexual perversions such as homosexuality, paedophilia, zoophilia are not only sins but also abominations coupled with demonism. Those who commit them bring down a curse on themselves and their surroundings.

3) Atheistic ideology has been negatively affecting the territory of Russia for almost the entire last century. Atheism formulated by the ideologues of the 19th century was associated with Satanism. E.g. K. Marx himself was a worshiper of Satan.

4) Religious pharisaism parasitized on true Christianity especially during tsarist Russia. The saving faith and the following of Christ was replaced by spiritless and hypocritical formalism.

How to repent? In the same way as the pilgrims in Jerusalem, when on the day of Pentecost the Apostle Peter said to them: “You killed the Saviour of the world! You are God-murderers.” (cf. Acts 2:23) They did not take offence, though they did not have personal guilt, but posed a question with pain: “What shall we do?” And Peter told them: “Repent and be baptized, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

What is the current situation in Russia? Experts can give statistics on alcoholism, narcotics, homosexuality, paedophilia, abortions, AIDS, banditry and corruption.

Demoralization of youth and society is promoted through mass media, education and health care. They are using programmes that were developed to depopulate the Third World.

Russia, however, needs growth of population and education of a healthy young generation which will not be demoralized by sex antieducation or other destructive programmes! These programmes purposefully lead to barrenness, to complete moral and mental collapse, to the spread of venereal diseases and, ultimately, to genocide. We fully agree with the statement of the Moscow Patriarch Alexius II who said: “Clergy must not remain silent on this situation, because through silence God is betrayed. Each priest is obliged to encourage people to protests against the demoralization of children and youth. Now it is necessary to stand up and call a spade a spade – saying that a murder is a murder, that evil is evil! If we remain silent, they will destroy us.” The Byzantine Catholic Patriarchate hereby calls upon the Russian Patriarch Cyril not to be silent but to urge the Church and the nation to protect children and youth against moral, spiritual and physical devastation, otherwise it will result in the genocide of Russia.

It is important to know that through various programmes, such as “family planning”, children are taught immoralities. Under the guise of a “healthy lifestyle” they teach children masturbation, and promote extramarital relations, adultery, and homosexuality. Various foreign centres operate under the auspices of local education authorities and UNESCO. The Ministry of Education of Russia held a contest in written works for pupils from the first to eleventh year under the title of “How to protect the city from the HIV epidemic”. In fact, it was a systematic disintegration, psychological violence against children and promotion of condoms. The most effective means of protection against this disease is life in purity, as now recognize even public officials in the U.S. The most effective means, however, is boycotted.

Instructions from the programmes of the so-called healthy lifestyle:

- You can have sex with as many as you like; the main thing is that it should be safe. – This is a lie!

- A drug addict lives long, if he shoots up reasonably. – This is a lie! Drugs and reason are mutually exclusive.

The so-called sex education of children from the age of seven presents pornography and practical use of contraception. The topic for pupils of the 5th year: sexual orgies – rulers of antiquity; the next topic is: free love, sexual relations between minors and adults (paedophilia). For pupils of the 6th year: vaginal, oral and anal sex, incest, peculiarities of heterosexual relationships. For pupils of the 7th year: interspecies contacts (e.g. zoophilia). For pupils of 8th year: homosexuality, transsexuality, masturbation as a means of easing psychophysiological discomfort, artificial abortions. 9th year: sexual freedom of personality, erogenic zones, necrophilia ... At these lessons, teachers speak about the rights of gays, drug dealers, drug addicts, but it is not said that Russian laws impose penalties for demoralization of minors. In the schools, open demoralization of minors takes place. Sex education lessons are not widely advertised before the public so even parents themselves often do not know what they contain.

Within the framework of AIDS prevention children have to imagine a situation at a party – they are to have three sexual contacts, the fourth one depends on their own choice and it makes no difference whether it will be with a girl or a boy.

Children themselves perceive that sex education is bad. Why do employees of the ministries of education, health or culture and mass media not perceive this fact?

After the adoption of family planning in Russia, sexually transmitted diseases among minors have increased 50 times. AIDS and syphilis epidemic has broken out; the occurrence of venereal diseases among children has increased to 43-60%. Every fifth case of syphilis and every third case of gonorrhoea occurs in youth under 17. This is the fruit of the Stockholm Conference of 1996 on the fight against child prostitution. Russia takes first place in Europe in child prostitution, which in recent years has increased by 50 times. To teach children sex means to completely demoralize them. In the U.S. and the EU, sexual anarchy has resulted in growth of mental illnesses.

To the slogan: “One has to try everything”, we answer with a question: “And what about trying poison? What about trying to kill somebody?” It is not normal if a girl under 16 years of age already had 100 partners. This is child prostitution.

In order to destroy the society and conscience of people, the most effective means is to corrupt children from an early age to such an extent that they lose the protection of innocence, that is purity, which is given to man by God since creation. These programmes have one and the same ideology: All do it today, you can do it too, you have a right to it. If a child receives such information from a teacher, it is fully convinced that this is permitted. A child hears from nobody: No, you must not do it in any case, it is a terrible evil, you cause harm to yourself and others! It will destroy your soul!

Nowadays, purposeful promotion of moral devastation of children and youth takes place in Russia. If sound education focused on responsible matrimony and parenthood was so intensively promoted as antieducation, the fruit would be hundreds of healthy and happy families and thriving economy. That would be the best prevention of alcoholism, drug addiction, venereal and mental diseases and deadly AIDS.

A healthy upbringing of children, youth and adults must be rooted in true transcendence. One must adopt a realistic view of good and evil, of one’s own death and realize one’s responsibility for one’s own life (cf. Mt 25:41f). It decides one’s eternity. This is linked with the fundamental question of the meaning of human life and true happiness. St. Augustine expresses it as follows: “You have made us for Yourself, oh, God, and our heart is restless until it rests in You.” The aim of one’s life is not wealth, pleasures or career. The aim is to obtain eternal life which was given to us in Jesus Christ (cf. 1Jn 5:10-12). Attaining of this aim is associated with a pure love for God and neighbour. This love is connected with listening to the conscience, the voice of God within us. We have to do what is good and to avoid evil. We are to follow the principle: “As you wish that others would not do to you, do not do so to them.” (cf. Lk 6:31)

Restoration of true Christianity, which entails sound education of youth and just legislation, is the only hope for preservation and restoration of the Russian nation.
