Dear brother in the episcopal ministry, the sign of the cross has accompanied public religious life in Italy for 1700 years. St. Constantine the King had a vision in a dream – he saw a cross and heard: “In this sign you shall win.” And he really won. Since the Edict of Milan (313) Christianity became a lawful religion and soon after even the state religion of the Roman Empire. Christianity formed the political and cultural life of all Europe.

Today You ask Yourself with indignation: How is it possible that the EU Court of “human rights” issued an order to remove all crosses from the schools?

The reason? Apostasy of the Church from the fundamental truths of faith. Instead of faith, clear conscience and proclamation of the Gospel came intellectualizing at universities, spiritless theological speculations, heretical teachings and social work.

Christianity which unbelievers can see in Europe and in Italy nowadays is apostatized Christianity which shall take up with whatever sin and even with satan, should it make a so-called profit on it.

In this time of crisis even You, as a bishop of Italy, have to decide which path You want to take and whom You want to follow. Deciding is simple: Either You will answer to the public appeal for the confession of faith addressed to all bishops, i.e. You will renounce heresies and membership in Masonic lodges, or You will betray Christ by Your silence.
