A chance for Ireland – repentance

On 22 May 2015, Ireland held a referendum in which the nation voted of their own free will for the legalization of gay and lesbian marriages. The referendum had a turnout of 60.5%. Thus the Irish nation chose to go to its doom. God’s Word clearly says that for the sin of homosexuality, Sodom and Gomorrah were punished with fire from heaven and that this punishment is a warning to all nations (Jud 7).How will a citizen of Ireland stand before the judgment seat of God if on 22 May 2015, dropping his vote into the ballot box, he passed a sentence of death upon himself and the whole nation? You betrayed your fathers, grandfathers and great-grandfathers; you betrayed Christ crucified; you betrayed all the saints of your nation and brought down upon yourselves and future generations not only the punishment of God but also temporal punishment. There is only one solution for you to be saved from the eternal punishment of hellfire, and that solution is repentance. Without it no Irishman can be saved from the curse of hellfire.  

When He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will do it

One can live in a community which has received the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth, who wants to guide us into all truth. We are slaves of sin and deceit, and only Jesus can make us free, no one else. He does so through His Spirit who guides us into His Word and into communion with Him, Jesus.

True happiness on this earth does not lie in abundance of property, wealth or career but in true peace. We can find this peace only in Christ. Supposing we seek it somewhere else or in someone else, we will not find it. We can by no means find this peace in the world. In the world we will only have tribulation. We must know it. There is no peace in the glory of the world, in vanity or in sin.

This age is ruthlessly anti-Christian and anti-Catholic. The Byzantine Catholic Patriarchate appeals to all Hungarian Catholics as well as all Christians in Hungary to join in perpetual prayer and to call on God day and night for spiritual resurrection of the Catholic Church in Hungary.

The poison of original sin is in every one of us. This is in us and the devil laughs. Unless we fight against sin, pride and lusts for all our life, we can easily lapse into heresy. If we believe ourselves, we destroy ourselves. That is the poison in us and we have to fight with it continuously because it leads us to self-destruction. We must carry it as a cross, not unite with it but resist it. “Deny yourself, take up your cross and follow Jesus!”
