A request for a punishment of T. Senkiv
Post date: 2008-08-21Autor:
T. Senkiv abused his episcopal office and deceived the state police in Stryi. On 15th August 2008 he mendaciously defamed us before this state police of the town of Stryi. He lodged a false accusation against us that we had attacked and beaten him in his episcopal residence. It not only would never even occur to us, but, moreover, it was also unreal due to the fact that in the time of our short visit there were about 10 employees of the consistory present and only three of us.
Consequently, the police arrested us in public in a scandalous manner, while we were sitting peacefully in a park, and forcibly led us away in handcuffs like some criminals in spite of the fact that we were dressed as monks and it was evident that we were religious persons.
At the police station it turned out that all accusations against us were false and so in about two hours the police released us with an apology.
Only a secular newspaper (Vysokyi Zamok, 20/08) published the statement of the police who clearly stated that there was no violent incident. Bishop Taras Senkiv was thus exposed as a public liar.
