In the book “Discussions with His Beatitude Lubomyr Husar – On Postconfessional Christianity” Card. Husar presents his views on the primacy of Peter.
On page 57 he states that the Western Church views the primacy as expressed in the juristic formulation cum Petro et sub Petro (with Peter and under Peter).
However, Card. Husar says: “My own opinion is the following: cum Petro – yes, sub Petro – no.”
If we compare the misleading and vague statements of Card. Husar with the clear teaching of the Catholic Church on the primacy of the Pope we have to state that Card. Husar does not profess this Catholic teaching and, in essence, he cannot even be said to be a true Catholic.
