On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of publication of an extremely topical encyclical Pascendi Dominici Gregis (1907-2007) of St. Pius X. Basilian fathers from monastery Pidhirci keep turning to the Holy Father Benedict XVI. so that he could publish a similar topical encyclical.
The reason is that the Church finds herself in a similar situation as at the beginning of the 20th century, yet now in a far more serious one.
