The salvation of every man depends on a living and true relationship with Christ. If someone has received so-called another Christ and another gospel, one cannot have the faith that saves us, purifies us from every sin and leads to salvation. That is why God’s Word so radically punishes with a curse those who preach another gospel, that means heresies. Unfortunately, today many hierarchs and theologians in the Church preach another gospel, contrary to the one that was preached by the Apostles.Card. L. Husar casts doubt upon the Divinity of Jesus Christ and upon the Virginity of the Mother of God, sympathizes with reincarnation, divines by pendulum, allows homosexuals to live together and calls their sinful relationship love. It is really a deterrent fact that all bishops of the UGCC take his part and thereby have united with his heresies. They too have thus fallen away from Christ and lost eternal life (cf. Gal 1:9). Dear brothers in priesthood, we know that You have been taken hostage of this situation. Yet let us be brave and persevere in the true biblical teaching, in faith and in prayer. If any of You has the strength and courage not to mention L. Husar in the Divine Liturgy, let him do so. If he has not, owing to persecution and terror on the part of the apostatic hierarchy, who occupy the episcopates, let him just silently pray with faith during the Liturgy for us (the new Synod). We believe that the resurrection of our Church and then of the Church in the West too will come soon.

The most important thing in the life of every man is his eternal salvation. This salvation, however, is only in Jesus Christ. With love and desire for Your salvation we call You to revive Your love for Christ. Communion with Christ through true faith is the most important thing in our life. Therefore we implore You on behalf of Christ (cf. 2Cor 5:20) – renew Your relationship with Christ!

The new Bishops’ Synod hereby calls upon all the priests and obliges them in their conscience not to mention “Patriarch Lubomyr Husar” in the Divine Liturgy, starting from Sunday 10th August 2008. He never was and even is not a patriarch, but has become an apostate. Instead of him the priests will mention in the Liturgy the Supreme Archbishop Michailo and the bishop assigned to the particular eparchy by the new Synod. Similarly, it is forbidden to publicly mention the particular apostate bishop united with L. Husar. If in spite of this prohibition the priest will mention the apostate’s name in the Liturgy, he will call down on himself God’s punishment, because he thus publicly unites with apostasy. We are calling upon all the faithful to create prayer groups and to pray perseveringly all through the year, so that through true repentance and conversion our Church may become the leaven for the spiritual resurrection of all Ukraine.

Today the Eastern Church both in Ukraine and in Russia celebrates the glorious Resurrection of Christ. This year we also commemorate the jubilee of the baptism of Rus-Ukraine by St. Vladimir in Kiev.Through baptism we were immersed in Christ’s death and received new life (cf. Rom 6:3-4). We are to renew this God’s life in us through the celebration of Sunday – the Day of Resurrection. The spiritual resurrection will come only after every Christian opens himself to Christ’s Spirit!
