Consecration of the Kievan Rus – Ukraine – to the Mother of God

In 1037 – as reads the Ukrainian oldest chronicle – the prince Yaroslav the Wise built on the “Golden Gates” in Kiev the church of the Annunciation. In this church he consecrated Kievan Rus – Ukraine – to the Mother of our Saviour, to the Most Holy Virgin.
An encounter with the spirit of darkness

We want to draw your attention to one of the most essential spheres of spiritual fight which concerns an encounter with the spirit of darkness working through a magician – a diviner. This matter touches each of as, for in recent time there has widely spread the activity of various diviners and magicians who by their activity call down a curse on the particular territory. Unless Christians repent in earnest in relation to the sphere of the first commandment, there will come no spiritual awakening and on the contrary it will bring a curse and apostasy from Christ and eventually a worldwide catastrophe.

Our Ukrainian orthodox Greek-Catholic Church (UOGCC) fully takes the attitude of God’s Word and of the Tradition, and hence fully supports the new bill № 6299 with all its amendments. The carrying of this law into practical effect will be an important step towards a moral and spiritual revival of all Ukraine. Thereby, dear Deputies, You will open the whole nation to God’s blessing and protect it against a curse.
