The Apostle explains that God gave the inheritance to Abraham by promise, and we receive it through faith in Christ. This faith cleanses us from sin. But the condition is to admit sin, to believe that Jesus, the Son of God, died for my sins, and to give my sins to Him. Through this faith the Holy Spirit gives us everything that Christ has done for our sake. But first of all, this faith unites us to Jesus Himself, who dwells in our hearts through faith (Eph 3:17). In the hour of death, this faith then changes into the sight of God in the light of glory.

It is said that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law. However, one supposes that the Law of Moses brings blessing rather than curse. So how are we to understand it? No person is able to fulfil all the requirements of the law. So all people are under the curse of the law. Verse 11 says: “But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for ‘the just shall live by faith’.” So justification from sin is by faith in Jesus Christ. Why? Because Jesus voluntarily took upon Himself the curse which falls on each of us for our sins to redeem us from this curse, which is the fruit of sin, and also to redeem us from eternal death caused by sin.

Dear ex-Pope Benedict,the Byzantine Catholic Patriarchate addresses You with a request the purpose of which is restoration of the Church. It concerns primarily the issue of Vatican Council II and its fruits that we are reaping today. Therefore, what is required of You is a gesture of repentance for Vaticanum II which You attended as a peritus. It is enough if You make a single statement today: “Concilium Vaticanum Secundum was heretical. Its fruits today are the evidence.” Without this clear attitude, the truth cannot be called the truth, a lie a lie and a heresy a heresy, and so the Church cannot repent. We beseech You on behalf of poor Catholics: do set an example of true repentance now, so that the Church may be released from the curse and saved from self-destruction.

(Dublin IV)S.O.S.: Jézus, ments meg minket! De ez a küzdelem nem szűnt meg Szlovákiában és a V4-es országokban sem. Ezért a bizánci katolikus pátriárka ismét arra ösztönzi a keresztényeket Csehorszában, Szlovákiában, Lengyelországban és Magyarországon, hogy az ima fogadalmat hosszabítsák meg Pünkösdig, május 20-ig a Szentlélek ünnepéig. Bárcsak igéretet tennének más hívők is. "Nem annyira a vér és a test ellen kell küzdenünk, hanem a fejedelemségek és hatalmasságok, ennek a sötét világnak kormányzói és az égi magasságoknak gonosz szellemei ellen” (Ef 6,12).

Thanks are due to all who kept watches in the Czech Republic and Slovakia on Easter Monday. To them who stood on the squares with placards:Stop to the stealing of children! (Istanbul)Stop to Islamization! (Dublin IV)SOS: Jesus, save us! However, the fight has ended neither in Slovakia nor in the V4 countries. Therefore, the Byzantine Catholic Patriarchate calls again on the Christians of the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary to extend their promise to the Feast of the Holy Spirit, 20 May. May other believers make the same promise. “We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces, the world rulers beneath heaven.” (cf. Eph 6:12f)

Dziękujemy wszystkim, którzy w Czechach i na Słowacji w Poniedziałek Wielkanocny stali na warcie. Stali na placach z transparentami: Stop kradzież dzieci! (Stambuł) Stop islamizacje! (Dublin IV) S.O.S.: Jezu, ratuj nas! Jednak ta walka nie zakończyła się ani na Słowacji, ani w krajach V4. Dlatego Bizantyjski Katolicki Patriarchat ponownie zachęca chrześcijan z Czech, Słowacji, Polski i Węgier do przedłużenia swojej obietnicy do święta Zesłania Ducha Świętego 20 maja. Niech obietnicę złożą także inne chrześcijanie. „Nie toczymy bowiem walki przeciw krwi i ciału, lecz przeciw pierwiastkom duchowym zła na wyżynach niebieskich” (Ef 6, 12).

In the Letter to Corinth, the Apostle Paul speaks about the resurrection from the dead. He writes: “Now I would remind you, brethren, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you.” (1Cor 15:1-2) Then the Apostle mentions that Jesus appeared to Peter and the Twelve, and he continues: “After that He appeared to more than five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep.”During this Eastertide, let us realize that Jesus not only died for our sins but was really raised from the dead and is with us all the days of our life!

What is the relation of our Patriarchate to the Mother of Jesus?Fully biblical, in line with the whole Church’s tradition. Jesus is true God and Mary is the Mother of God – Birth-giver of God – Theotokos. It was proclaimed at the Council of Ephesus in 431. She well deserves special honour from everyone who has received Jesus, as stated in the Scripture: “All generations will call me blessed.” (Lk 1:48) It is not enough to have an academic – dead Jesus. One needs to have the living Jesus. This is the biblical equation: Mary and the Holy Spirit equals the living Jesus.

The authority in the Church is based on the vertical – on the relationship to God – and determines the horizontal – human relationships. The essence of the papacy is to protect the vertical, i.e. to protect the Church against heresies in matters of faith and morals. If the Pope does so, every Christian, including non-Catholics, must gratefully accept this service of his, even if they do not fall within his jurisdiction, such as the Orthodox or Protestants. If the Pope neglects to protect the Church against heresies, or if he does the opposite, as is the case today, he does harm to the whole Church. Every Christian must distance himself from such a manifest heretic.

We commemorate Christ’s redemptive death and His glorious resurrection.The Byzantine Catholic Patriarchate is pleading You, Most Reverend Bishops of the V4 countries: Please, encourage Your priests and believers to hold the Easter procession on 2 April 2018. This demonstration in support of the family and nation will then take place in every village and town.Dear bishops and priests, prepare the way for God’s miracle through this specific form of repentance. God will then save the V4 countries: Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland!
