Expression of thanks to contemplative sisters
Post date: 2008-12-19Autor: 1
Dear sisters, we pray that You may remain faithful to our Lord and Saviour and not be frightened by persecutions, disconcerted by intrigues or paralyzed by invalid excommunications pronounced by those who were excommunicated from the Church by themselves and as apostates now illegitimately occupy the Church posts.
Canonical assumption of the UGCC eparchies
Post date: 2008-08-16Autor: 1
This canonical assumption took place in the presence of believers and witnesses on the territory of each eparchy. Unfortunately it could not be held in the eparchial church, so the Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the pilgrimage centres or in other churches of the particular eparchy.

Our purpose was not and is not a forcible takeover of the churches but the spiritual revival of the UGCC. We hereby announce this spiritual takeover of the eparchies to all priests, religious and believers. The announcement about it is given to the Holy Father with a possibility that in case he wished to change the resolution of the new Synod, we will gladly do so through a personal audience with him. The new Synod calls upon all the faithful, but first of all upon the priests, to respect these changes in their conscience. In the Divine Liturgy they should mention the Supreme Archbishop Michailo and then the bishop that was assigned to their eparchy by the new Synod.

On Thursday 7th August, Bishop M.Osidach had an unusual visit in the hospital. He was visited by two delegates from the Sokal-Zhovkva eparchy, by the syncellus Fr. M. Tkachiv and chancellor Fr. V. Kotkevych. They were putting psychological pressure on him, and paying no regard to his state of health they forced him to sign a pre-prepared proclamation.

Dear representatives of state administration of Ukraine, we announce to You that by reason of apostasy of Head of the UGCC Card. L. Husar and of 17 bishops who are in unity with his heresies, on the foundation of the Holy Scripture Card. L. Husar as well as members of the Bishops’ Synod of the UGCC in Ukraine were excommunicated from the Church.Whatever execution of office on their part in the name of the Church is now ineffective before the Church, and therefore You too ought not to take them seriously any longer. They now occupy their offices unlawfully.

Explanation of our activity

The Church is built on the apostles and prophets (cf. Eph 2:20). If the hierarchy (bishops) exclude the prophetical office from the life of the Church by liquidating so-called undesirable people, the consequence will be self-destruction of the Church and then God’s punishment or “Babylonian captivity”.
Letter to the Holy Father
Post date: 2008-04-07Autor: 1
Your Holiness, the contemplative religious sisters of the Monastery of St. Elijah the Prophet take the liberty to write to You as those who honour You as the Vicar of Christ on earth, yearn along with You for the renewal of the Church of Christ and are witnesses to the current events in Ukraine. By openly standing on the side of Christ in this time as well as by openly standing against the current heresies (historic-critical theology and respect for other religions), the Pidhirtsi bishops have already decided their fate – to them to live is Christ, and to die is gain. To condemn them means to take a side with heresy and ipso facto to exclude oneself from the Church. Should the Church condemn them, she would thus decide her own fate.
Private audience with the Holy Father
Post date: 2008-04-01Autor: 1
Your Eminence, certainly You can understand that in such a serious matter, which has an impact not only on our UGCC but also on the whole Church, we must uncompromisingly demand a private audience with the Holy Father. You understand that we cannot react to any decrees from the papal dicasteries, even if they were signed by the Holy Father.

Our programme is the same as was with the Apostle Paul – to preach Christ in season and out of season, to be a witness to Him for fallen-away Christians as well as for neopagans, to be ready for chains and even death for Christ’s sake.
