His “holiness” the Dalai Lama in Prague and Minister Herman
Post date: 2016-10-27Autor: BCP
On Monday 17 October, an uninvited guest – his “holiness” the Dalai Lama – arrived in Prague. The President and the Government had not invited him and refused to meet him. He was greeted only by the former spokesman of the Czech Bishops’ Conference (CBK), now a Minister, Daniel Herman. Herman said hypocritically: “I will receive him as a religious representative of one of the Churches.”This “reincarnated god” was officially welcomed in the Czech Republic by a “reincarnated angel”, Minister Herman. Paradoxically, Herman comments on his pharisaic act by saying that he “moved the Czech nation to stand with its back straight again”. How concretely does Herman himself present this “straight” back? He bows and scrapes before globalists and Brussels, though it is to the detriment of Christianity and the Czech nation. His “straight” back is remarkably elastic.
Letter to Mr Thomas Hammarberg, Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights
Post date: 2011-11-23Autor: Synod UO GCC
Dear Sir, we have come to learn that from 19 to 26 November You are staying in Ukraine and having meetings with ombudsmen, public representatives, representatives of the Ministries as well as with the victims of human rights violations. We would like to ask You as Commissioner for Human Rights to deal with the fundamental human rights relating to freedom of religion and freedom of conscience, as provided by international charters as well as by the Constitution and Law of Ukraine. We would like to ask You to deal with our case too – specifically, with systematic inflammation of religious hatred and discrimination against us as a religious minority, namely against the Ukrainian orthodox Greek-Catholic Church (UOGCC).
Dismissal and punishment of government officials /letter to the Minister of Culture of Ukraine/
Post date: 2011-09-12Autor: Synod UO GCC
Dear Sir, we remind You the responsibility to justly punish employees subordinated to You. It is the chief of the Main Department On Matters of Internal Policy, Nationalities and Religions of the Lviv Regional State Administration (former Department on Matters of Nationalities and Religions), Mr R. Kurash, and chief of the same department in Ternopol Regional State Administration, Mr I. Kulchytskyi, who commit unlawful religious discrimination.
Religious discrimination in Ukraine
Post date: 2011-09-10Autor: Synod UO GCC
As from 10th September 2011, Ukraine is introducing liberalization of the visa regime between Ukraine and the EU. The State Committee of Ukraine on Matters of Nationalities and Religions has been illegally blocking the registration of a religious minority – Ukrainian orthodox Greek-Catholic Church for two years. From this it follows: a) 23 contemplative sisters from the monastery of St. Elijah the Prophet will not obtain documentation for a long-stay visa and will have to leave Ukraine. They do not have monastery in the EU. Religious discrimination de facto passes into their dissolution. b) Immediately after 10th September 2011, the Patriarch of the Byzantine Catholic Patriarchate has to leave Ukraine for the same reason, otherwise he will find himself outside the law and, as a result of religious discrimination, will be deported. Deputy Minister of Culture, Mr Y. Bohutskyi, must be removed from office and justly punished for crimes of religious discrimination.
Religious discrimination in Lvov

Dear Sir, we hereby ask You again to give us an opportunity to celebrate Sunday Liturgies in the Church of Sts Peter and Paul. Since 1946 the Church of Sts Peter and Paul has served as a storage place for books; Divine Liturgies have not been celebrated there for 64 years. First You pleaded that You had given the church to the Basilian Order (OSBM), then that You had given it to the Archbishopric of the UGCC and now that it is to be entrusted to the military. You commit discrimination against our minority Church (UOGCC).
The second legal action concerning discrimination against UOGCC
Post date: 2010-11-01Autor: Synod UO GCC
We are saddened that the Strasbourg Court did not react at all to our legal action, which was sent to You not only by fax but even by official mail. A month went by, and we come to the conclusion that all documents about human rights relating to religion and faith are just a scrap of paper and that the whole so-called struggle against discrimination is directed only to the promotion of perverted privileges of homosexuals to the detriment of defenceless population.
A lawsuit in the matter of registration
Post date: 2010-02-09Autor: Synod UO GCC
Since the State Committee of Ukraine on Matters of Nationalities and Religions refused to accept our petition for registration of the UOGCC, we had to appeal to court with our demand for legal registration. The court in Lvov came to the conclusion that the State Committee of Ukraine on Matters of Nationalities and Religions has to deal with the petition for registration of the statute of the UOGCC and give the reply: either it will grant the registration or not. Here we can see a bias on the part of the State Committee of Ukraine on Matters of Nationalities and Religions, since they were not even willing to accept our petition. Thus they wanted to avoid a concrete reply, which in this case would be unlawful on their part.
Letter to the Prime Minister of Ukraine

Dear Mrs Tymoshenko, the major reason why You are lenient towards injustice on the part of the State Committee of Ukraine on Matters of Nationalities and Religions is the fact that ex-Card. Husar promises You support in the presidential elections! It is generally known that almost all Greek-Catholic priests oblige people by order of ex-Card. Husar to go to the polls and vote for You, saying that who will not, it will be a sin! This is violation of freedom of conscience and of democracy, which puts You in a very negative light.
Letter to the Prime Minister of Ukraine

we have by this time written You three letters (5 Oct, 28 Oct and 23 Dec 2009), wherein we informed You about religious discrimination on the part of the State Committee of Ukraine on Matters of Nationalities and Religions and applied to You for registration of the Ukrainian orthodox Greek-Catholic Church (UOGCC). This is our fourth letter. It is now more than 165 days since we started a manifestation with a placard in front of the Regional Council in Lvov with a petition for legal registration.
Letter to the Prime Minister of Ukraine
Post date: 2009-12-23Autor: Synod UO GCC
Dear Mrs Tymoshenko, on 5th and 28th October 2009 we wrote You open letters, wherein we informed You of an internal crisis in the UGCC which resulted in the establishment of the Ukrainian orthodox Greek-Catholic Church (UOGCC).On 25th-27th November 2009 we demonstrated against violation of the laws of Ukraine and against religious discrimination in front of the Parliament and Cabinet of Ministers (CM) of Ukraine. That time we transmitted to You already the third letter with a request for cessation of religious discrimination and for registration of a new religious organization UOGCC. We have not received a reply to any of these letters up to this day!You are a candidate for President of Ukraine. President, however, must first of all be a guarantor of civil rights and of observation of the state laws. Therefore prove that You are worthy of the presidential office. Stop violation of the laws of Ukraine and religious discrimination. Do all in Your power for the sake of lawful registration of the UOGCC. Otherwise You overtly prove Your direct participation in religious discrimination and in violation of the Ukrainian laws. Such person, however, cannot be President!
An open letter against discrimination of conscience and belief
Post date: 2009-10-28Autor: Synod UO GCC
In Ukraine there is Moscow Orthodox Church, Kievan Orthodox Church and Autocephalous Orthodox Church. According to the laws of Ukraine, nothing hinders registration of the UOGCC besides the UGCC. However, this is not desirable for the UGCC leadership so it dishonestly influences state authorities towards violation of the laws of Ukraine and thus towards religious discrimination. After numerous efforts at registration the State Committee on Matters of Nationalities and Religions definitively rejected whatever further communication with us. This committee is subordinated directly to You. Therefore full responsibility for this crime of violation of the laws of Ukraine in the matters of freedom of conscience falls upon You!Prove that You have nothing in common with this crime. Please, do Your best and see to it that in accordance with the Ukrainian laws the UOGCC is registered before the election! You will thus manifest that You have at heart a true spiritual revival and spirtual resurrection of Ukraine.
Letter to the Prime Minister of Ukraine

Dear Mrs Tymoshenko, we kindly ask You to admonish the Head of the State Committee on Matters of Nationalities and Religions, Mr J. Reshetnikov, who commits religious discrimination and violates the Constitution as well as the laws of Ukraine.
An open letter concerning registration of the UOGCC
Post date: 2009-09-08Autor: Synod UO GCC
Dear Mr President, on 13th August 2009 a manifestation against religious discrimination took place in Lvov. The reason was a criminal attack on the monastery of sisters, the responsibility for which falls on an employee of the Regional Council in Lvov, Head of Department on Matters of Nationalities and Religions, Mr R. Kurash. The placards carried the demand: registration of the Ukrainian orthodox Greek-Catholic Church (UOGCC). We have to state that Mr J. Reshetnikov, Head of the State Committee on Matters of Nationalities and Religions, purposefully refuses to register the UOGCC and falsely claims that we violate the laws of Ukraine though he has not produced a single concrete violation on our part!Mr President, before God and before the whole Ukrainian nation we call and at the same time ask You to stop discrimination and to allow lawful registration of the UOGCC.Ukraine grants registration to Buddhists, the Hare Krishna sect, Jehovah’s Witnesses and even to diviners! Only the orthodox Catholic Christians, who up to this time have been kept under false authority like in a concentration camp, are unlawfully denied the possibility for official registration!!!
A reply to the refusal of registration
Post date: 2009-09-03Autor: Synod UO GCC
Why Mr Reshetnikov in the process of lawful registration has not acted in accordance with the Ukrainian laws?In the background of this manipulation performed by the state committee there is apostatical hierarchy which knows that the registration of the UOGCC signifies for them existential failure.
Letter to Mr Yuriy Reshetnikov
Post date: 2009-07-26Autor:
Dear Mr Reshetnikov, we would like to ask You once more for detailed information concerning registration of the Church (e.g. the number of people necessary for registration etc.). We would like to ask You, too, to deal with our matter justly, in compliance with the Ukrainian laws. Your reply of 26th June 2009 N. 7/2-19-107 testifies that it is not us but You who commit a gross violation of the Ukrainian legislation and misinterpret even the canon laws (CCEO) concerning internal Church affairs. Your overall attitude is discriminatory and suppresses religious freedom which in Ukraine is denied neither to Muslims nor to Buddhists nor to Hindus. We have turned to the state authorities of Ukraine, in order that our Orthodox Catholic Bishops’ Synod (9 bishops) could be officially registered.Supposing You administratively enable such division, it will be no disruption, but rather an operation which will lead to the salvation of life.
