Prospect of internal reform of the Church
Support of the Bill № 6299 /to Deputies of the Ukrainian Parliament/
Post date: 2006-10-07Autor: Synod UO GCC
Our Ukrainian orthodox Greek-Catholic Church (UOGCC) fully takes the attitude of God’s Word and of the Tradition, and hence fully supports the new bill № 6299 with all its amendments. The carrying of this law into practical effect will be an important step towards a moral and spiritual revival of all Ukraine. Thereby, dear Deputies, You will open the whole nation to God’s blessing and protect it against a curse.
The fruit of new spirit - martyres
Post date: 2006-06-29Autor:
Nowadays to become a true disciple of Christ the Christian must open him/herself fully to the Holy Spirit and become a true witness and a true martyr. Half-hearted Christianity which has opened itself to the spirit of the world leads to decay, death and eternal perdition. The true pattern of Christianity for us is the hundreds of thousands of martyrs, then the apostles, particularly St. Paul, and above all our Lord Jesus Christ Himself. His word refers even to us: “When the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you shall be My witnesses (martyres).” (Acts 1:8)
A New Heart
Post date: 2006-06-24Autor:
The Lord through the prophet Ezekiel gave a promise: “I will give you a new heart… and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh.” (Ezek 36:26) So what He speaks of is a spiritual transplantation.Where and how does the spiritual transplantation take place? The place is Golgotha. The first condition of this transplantation is spiritual light and spiritual cleanness. The second one is to be crucified with Christ – to become a disciple of Jesus. The new heart is a new Eve – Virgin Mary. This transplantation of the spiritual heart can be done only by God.
The original sin and the deliverance
Post date: 2006-05-24Autor:
The mystery of the original sin can be understood only within the relation to Christ’s death and resurrection (Catechism of the Catholic Church 388). The Word of God points at two opposite polarities – Adam and Christ. He who abides in Adam is in death and in slavery. He who enters into Christ’s death has a new life and a true freedom.
